Marriott International, Inc. has announced that they are waiting for the fourth quarter results, as they are not yet available. However, the company believes that the last quarter of 2009 might have better results compared to last year’s report.

Mr. Marriott said: “For Marriott, the fourth quarter looked better than we expected outside North America, while things in the U.S. and Canada were also a little better. Leisure travelers are responding to the terrific values we’re offering. We’ve also seen business travel and large meetings start to pick up, which is big for our industry.”

It is a matter of time, results will be posted soon and Marriott International Inc. will be able to evaluate their situation for the last quarter of 2009.

The new Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport-South was opened thanks to the hard work of the Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and OTO Development, LLC.

The hotel features 149 spacious rooms, all with a 42′ HDTV, complimentary WiFi, complimentary continental breakfast a more than 1,500 square feet of meeting space.

The Radisson Blu Madrid Prado is a boutique hotel located just across the Prado Muesum in Spain. The hotel will be managed by the Rezidor Hotel Group.

The Radisson Blu Madrid Prado has 54 guestrooms designed by Spanish interior designer Sandra Aruela and Isabel Lopez.

The InterContinental Hotel Group has recently announced that the Crowne Plaza is officially opened after an important renovation that last for more than six months.

Mark Kane, general manager, Crowne Plaza Jacksonville Airport commented: “We are excited about the recent renovations that have taken place at our hotel.”

The Apollo Hotel Amsterdam joins the Wyndham Hotel Group and it will be the firs hotel in the Netherlands by the Whyndham Hotel Group.

The hotel has 223 rooms and it is focused on travelers for business and leisure as well as groups. The hotel has a convenient location, close to World Trade Centre Amesterdam, Royal Concert Hall and the
city’s museum.

Viceroy Hotel Group has recently announced that the group “has been selected as operator of the renowned Los Angeles luxury hotel, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills.”

The hotel has 119 rooms and it has been managed by Raffles Hotels & Resorts since 2000. The new L’Ermitage Beverly Hills will be refurbished and it will relaunch in late 2010.

Kana Hotel Group has been helped by EcogreenHotel to open one of its many Green hotels. Kana Hotel Group’s President commented that he had three main reasons to change Green.

The chain of hotels Holiday Inn has recently opened the new Holiday Inn in Las Vegas located just 3 miles from McCarran International Airport.

The hotel has 129 rooms and among its amenities you can find that the hotel features 42′ LCD HDTV, Serta(R) Plus mattress and free High-Speed internet access.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. in conjunction with Libertador Hotels, Resorts & Spas from Peru, have joined in a franchise agreement to develop first of three Luxury Collection Hotels in Peru.

CEO Jorge Melero from Libertador Hotels, Resorts & Spas stated: “The Luxury Collection brand has important penetration in South America and allows us to keep the identity of places we have and cherish.”

He also commented:”Our strategic plan for the next five years extends beyond Peru’s borders, and we look forward to future collaborations with Starwood.”

Suning Real Estate Development Co. and Hyatt Hotel Corporation have signed an agreement for Hyatt subsidiaries to provide management services for the new three hotels that Hyatt will open.

Grand Hyatt Nanjing will open in 2013 while Hyatt Regency Wuxi and Hyatt Regency Xuzhou are planned to be opened in 2012.
