Home to more than one million LED lights and hundreds of holiday light displays, the speedway transformed into a one-mile, drive-through light park beginning November 18th and running through January 1st, 2012.

Open nightly, the hours of operation for the light show will be Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. The cost is $15 per vehicle. The first 15,000 vehicles to drive through this season will receive a gift bag with holiday values from the event’s sponsors. Guests can listen to festive music and holiday messages by tuning into 87.9 F.M. in their car during the drive.

Be sure to bring canned goods for the food drive!

What a crazy October! A historic October storm slammed the Northeast with tree-snapping, travel-disrupting snow.

Decorative displays of pumpkins in New York and New Hampshire lay covered in snow, as a rare and late October winter storm struck the Northeastern U.S. Saturday and Sunday. The snowstorm also led to widespread power outages. According to the National Weather Service, this is the first time, since records began in 1860, that an inch or more of snowfall has been recorded during the month of October.

Check out the Gift of Light at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway!

This holiday season New Hampshire Motor Speedway will become home to more than one million LED lights and hundreds of holiday light displays, as the speedway transforms into a one-mile drive-through light park beginning November 18 and running through January 1.

The Gift of Lights will make its debut Friday. It creates a festive atmosphere by allowing visitors to drive through several themed areas including the 12 Days of Christmas, the zoo, the beach and much more. The path starts at NHMS‘ main gate and winds around the outside of the grandstands and includes a stretch of the road course. At the end of the route, visitors can experience Santa’s Village in the NHMS office, where they will enjoy hot cocoa, concessions and free photo opportunities with Santa.

Open nightly, the hours of operation for the light show will be Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 p.m. until10 p.m. The cost is $15 per vehicle.

Proceeds from the Gift of Lights will go to the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, helping kids in need throughout New England.

The Farm House is located with the other cabins and is a great option for larger families or groups.

There is plenty of space and super ideal rentals for families of all sizes. The Trapp House is one of our most popular family reunion rentals. It is located on a secluded point with a small private beach and its own boat dock. The Trapp House sits only a few feet away from the lakes edge and features four bedrooms plus two sleeping porches, two baths, full kitchen/dining room, and living room. The Trapp House can sleep up to 20 people with 6 double beds, 6 twin beds, and 2 sofa beds. A screened-in porch wraps around the lakeside of the house and is the perfect spot to view the occasional water skier wiz by, a family of Canadian Geese teaching its young how to fish or a golden summer Lake’s Region sunset. Staying at the Trapp House feels like you are at your very own summer home on Lake Winnisquam. Private and secluded, the Trapp House allows you and your family to relax and enjoy long summer days together while recapturing the true essence of family and friends.

Starting Mid-June through August, the Trapp House is only available for seven night stays (Saturday to Saturday). To book the Trapp House, call the Anchorage directly. Off season Mid-May and the month of September, the Trapp House is available for daily stays.

NASCAR’s premier drivers invade “The Magic Mile,” for the Sprint Cup Series LENOX Industrial Tools 301. Expect a heated battle as the NASCAR stars go “the extra mile” on a NEW DATE, Sunday, July 17.

The Nationwide Series, the K&N Pro Series East and the Whelen Modified Tour will once again pack the track in what is expected to be a full season of speed.

Hailed as “The Mecca of Classic Gaming” by MSNBC, The American Classic Arcade Museum at Funspot is the first 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and displaying vintage coin-operated amusements. Located on the third floor of the immense Funspot Family Entertainment Super Center, the museum celebrates the origins of the arcade industry with popular games from the past. Asteroids, Pac-Man, Centipede and Gorgar are just a few of the nearly 300 games in the classic arcade museum. The museum also contains static displays of game history and the walls feature many posters of vintage arcade games.

The Funspot Family Entertainment Super Center is located on Route 3 in Weirs Beach, NH. The facility was founded in 1952 by Bob Lawton and has been continuously operated by him and his family ever since. The 60,000 square foot center features over 500 games, 20 bowling lanes, a miniature golf course, a 400-seat Bingo hall, a restaurant, the D.A. Long Tavern, and a state of the art indoor golf center featuring six Full-Swing Golf Simulators. In June 2008, Guinness World Records named Funspot the largest arcade in the world. Funspot and The American Classic Arcade Museum are open year-round.
