What other city has oversized artsy painted hearts planted at major destination landmarks for its city goers to enjoy. Where else can you go from climbing the hills and then sliding down for the greatest pizza & Italian wine? Just in 7 miles you can run the Marina or jump on a cable car. San Francisco has it all! My favorite break of the day is a walk past Union Square, where so many locals are eating their lunch on the stairs, on the benches, or on the grass (weather permitting) and picking up a hot chocolate at Café Madeline with their homemade chocolate whipped cream. Yep! It is worth the calories that make you want to run the peaks & valley’s of our great City….San Francisco!

Some people have such strong conviction & PASSION in life, and it is my life that loves and thrives for passion during these tough recessionary times. I do my very best to greet a challenge with a passionate drive. And DRIVE I did with my Range Rover from British Motors in SF. If the casting agent calls for an energetic Diva hotelier that drives a Range Rover to do a British Motors commercial in the lobby of her hotel to promote Personality Hotels, I am there! Besides I always did want to be a Hollywood actress, but something I just never pursued. It is kind of like Lucy Ball in the “I Love Lucy ” show when she visits Hollywood & imagines herself in the real world of Hollywood, but is afraid to leave the husband & the kids. In my case it is definitely all that & more. it is my family & my PASSION for Personality Hotels. So I drive myself nuts with the dream, & drive myself real with a very short TV commercial with British Motors. Overall, the satisfaction, notoriety, publicity and fun doing this TV commercial separates me from the hotel pack. I run in my own pack, the Personality pack!!!!

A day in the life of a woman owned hotelier! Dear Blog Diary- what must seem like such a glamorous job to the outside world & when I hand over my business card to so many people I meet, but truly a reality check kicks INN. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE my job and especially love the people I meet & the guests who travel from afar to stay at a Personality Hotel but not one single day is ever the same.Never ever! When I wake up thinking a day may go one way, even with set appointments, it travels into something entirely different in between & before & after. Running hotels is exactly like running a huge household but so many more guests come & go, staff faces so many issues that still need my attention & new doors, old doors, broken doors, & slated doors open & close. I have adjusted to the climate from years ago riding new waves that brought such change both good and bad, but writing to you right now Blog Diary, NEVER EVER have I experienced such a beauty of a wave riding over my head. But there is no way in HELL this particular recession mama wave is going to take me for a ride. I am facing it head on. I will talk to you tomorrow Blog Diary

Well, this week definitely defies the famous quote “The coldest winter ever spent was a summer in San Francisco”!! It has been 80+ degrees in The City every day this week and I am loving it! Personality Hotels is also sponsoring ‘Film Night in the Park’ which this Saturday is ‘Il Postino’ playing in Washington Square. I cannot think of anything better than to roam around North Beach, grab a bite to eat, and head over to Washington Square to catch a film in this uncharacteristically good weather!! We have a table at the event, so stop by and see me!

What SF boutique hotel would have something in common with Praaaaada? Well of course no other than Hotel DIVA. Yes, only a Diva shops Praaaada. I went to the grand opening event last week & nibbled on the spoons of caviar & sipped the bubbly while admiring the latest in fashion & décor. Oh my! What a store. San Francisco is so blessed. That is why Hotel Diva is such a match to come to & be prep’d for a day of shopping at Prada with a sound sleep on our most comfortable beds & surrounded by Diva beauty on our Salon Floor. Ah yes, Diva & Prada go hand & hand or should I say head to toe?
