Tourists are traveling more
According to a recent study leisure travelers have been showing signs of traveling more. The Piper Jaffray and Citibank have shown that travelers have been spending money on booking hotel rooms as well as plane tickets.
Despite the global crisis that hit hard this year in the hospitality industry the U.S. Travel is growing again and there is a higher demand in this industry. The analysis showed that 2009 is going to look increasingly better every month.
The analysis showed that:”The U.S. hotel industry’s occupancy and average daily rate (ADR) – and therefore revenue per available room (RevPAR) appears to have stabilized during the course of the summer, albeit at low levels.”
The hospitality industry is positive that revenues will keep growing by the end of this year.
